U2 Fans rave about concert…

U2 has already performed in Anaheim California, East Lansing Michigan and Baltimore Maryland- where it drew more than 75,000 people to the M&T Bank Stadium. Fans are raving about the concerts. One couple says  “the performance and staging of the U2 concert was not only the most compelling, but set a bar so high that other acts will never be able to surpass.” Wow! Plenty of great pictures to see online but what better way to experience it yourself than going to the concert!

Out with the Old In with the New

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released defensive end Reggie Hayward after 5 seasons.  Reggie has had a lot of injuries, and only played in one game last year. Pro Bowl Defensive  End Aaron Kampman was signed in the offseason so it is not a surprise.  Punter Robert Malone was also released.  The Jags have to get on to formulating  a working roster.  Things in NFL land in Jacksonville should improve, we hope.

Tampa Bay Bucs Give Thanks to the Schedule Gods

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers must have prayed to the NFL schedule Gods.  Of course, Bucs Fans hope that Roger Goodell throws the book at Ben Rothlisberger, making him sit out at least until after the Pittsburgh Steeler and Tampa Bay Buccaneers  game on  September 26ith.  The Bucs are continuing their rebuilding process, and they can use all the skill and luck they can get.  I think they will fool some people this year.  The Tampa Bay Bucs fan base should come out and rally.  Let’s Go Bucs!!!!!!

Florida Panthers

The NHL hockey  Florida Panthers goalie Scott Clemmenen had a terrific start against the Tampa Bay Lightening in their last outing.  The Panthers will give the goalie another chance as they head to Canada, still fighting to keep their very slim playoff hopes alive.  If they could score, and play a little defense especially at the end of each game, perhaps this hockey season in Florida would have been more competitive.  It is easier to sell tickets to a playoff contender.  Keep fighting.

The Masters Golf Tournament is always an event that everyone looks forward to.  It is the grand gold standard for golf.  This year, we have the added anticipation of Tiger Woods returning to golf after a highly unanticipated time away from the sport.  It will be part circus, part tournament, all excitement.

Sony Ericsson Tennis Tournament

The Sony Ericsson in South Florida’s Key Biscayne is underway.  So far, several of the top women are out with injuries, most recently Serena Williams, which is a big loss.  Hopefully sister Venus will make her mark.  If you can buy box seat tickets, it really puts you right there with the players, but even tickets in the three and four hundred level are fine, being as the venue is so small and intimate.  Great tennis awaits us.

Orlando Magic

The  Orlando Magic literally are feeling the pain at the small forward position.  Now backup Pietrus is going to sit out the game against the 76ers.  Matt Barnes, the starting small forward had to sit out the game against the Miami Heat.   Basketball down the stretch to the playoffs: this is the time in the NBA you always have to look at talent, coaching, and a little bit of  luck, with injuries so much a part of the “luck factor”.
