Fox succeeded immediately and dramatically, bringing the "Roar" back into vogue by making the playoffs and their first Super Bowl ever. Talk about earning your keep!

When you stand pat in the NFL, you fall behind so the Hurney/ Fox tandem drafted running back DeAngelo Williams with their 1 st pick in the 2006 NFL Draft, knowing the tender ankle of DeShaun Foster can't be counted on. They lost Ricky Manning to the Bears and Marlon McCree to San Diego , so they brought in some help there as well, signing Shaun Williams from the Giants. Draft choices Richard Marshall and Nate Salley will help down the road.
