Boston Celtics tickets are once again on the upswing. For years the Celtics have been a team waiting in the wings, anticipating their eventual return to the top of the heap in the NBA. They certainly have a star player on which to base their team on. Paul Pierce re-signed with Boston in the off-season, a move that will keep him as the focus of the Celtics for the foreseeable future. In 2005-06 he averaged 26.8 points a game while dealing out 375 assists. He's also durable, having missed just a handful of games in his six seasons. Pierce has both an inside and outside shot. More importantly he knows he's expected to be a leader on this team and fills the bill.

The cast surrounding Pierce got a boost when the Celtics traded for Sebastian Telfair. The much ballyhooed point guard fits the mold of the players Ainge likes. But once again, he's young and while he's got some experience he's not at a point where he can take a team on his shoulders. Until he does reach that point the Celtics will probably be depending on Delonte West. At power forward Al Jefferson carries a lot pf potential. Ankle injuries have slowed him down some, but surgery in the off-season should allow him to play more minutes.

Boston Celtics tickets are once again carrying the legacy of the great Celtics teams of the past into the new season. Boston has a good start with Paul Pierce and a roster full of young players. From that group, if just a few can make the leap from potential to potency, TD Northbank Garden can start to host more than just the occasional NBA Playoff game.
